Casambi Access Point (CAP) is a product that allows remote management of the Casambi network from any point in Europe and from many locations worldwide. After connecting to power, it is ready for activation in the Casambi network as a Gateway after approximately 1 minute.

The CAP device is a combination of a configured external LTE cat. 4 router with a dedicated SIM card and a Casambi gateway. The entire set is delivered in a dedicated enclosure providing IP65 water protection and stable operation in temperatures from -20 to +55°C. The device features 10kV surge protection and a pressure equalization element in the enclosure.
The router is a stable platform from Teltonika Networks offering extensive network function configuration, security, remote management, and active manufacturer support. A housing opening sensor is connected to the router, enabling remote monitoring of physical access to the CAP device.
The global SIM card provides stable Internet access and a flat rate in 140 countries worldwide. We offer services active for up to 10 years. If that is not enough, you have a second WAN Failover interface available based on local CaTV operators.
CAP is a device enabling remote access to the Casambi network and creating Site structures where you can:
In the Casambi app, the product is visible as Internet Gateway / Cloud Gateway. You’ll access all functions through the dedicated Casambi APP software (downloadable on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store).
| How many control points will it support? | Depending on configuration from 60 to 250 points |
|---|---|
| What power does it control? [W] | In the Casambi network, virtually any device-load can be connected and controlled. |
| Supply voltage [V] | |
| Current [mA] | |
| Practical range [m] | In the “Long Range” mode, where the network speed is reduced to 0.5MB/s and the devices use the high-sensitivity CBM-003 module. In “Best Performance” mode, where network speed is achieved at the expense of ranges between nodes In “Balanced” mode, where speed and range are optimized for networks of up to 100 nodes. |
| Operating frequency [Mhz] | Channels in the range of 2402 to 2480 Mhz LTE bands depend on mobile operators. |
| Maximum RF transmitter power [dBm] | This is the power measured at the antenna before the housing is mounted, and the ranges depend on many external factors, so use the “practical range” parameter. Depends on mobile network operator |
| Operating temperatures [oC] | |
| Maximum humidity [%] | Completely waterproof after hermetically integrating into the luminaire housing. |
| IP protection class [xy] | The IP65 protection class means that the device is completely protected against dust (no solid body ingress) and resistant to pressurized water jets from any direction. This is a high standard of protection that makes devices with this marking suitable for outdoor use and in harsh conditions, providing full protection against dust and water. |
| IK protection class [xy] | The operating conditions of the device do not provide for mechanical shocks during installation and normal operation. |
