The controller performs two functions at one time: It creates a wireless CASAMBI network node and a wired DALI infrastructure supporting up to 8 addresses (Group or Short DALI Address). Included is a DALI power supply giving current for up to 50 luminaires.

The controller plugs directly into the 3-phase bus + DALI line (Global XTSC standard). After plugging into the bus and performing the addressing procedure, up to 50 LED luminaires organized into up to 8 control groups can be controlled. It is worth noting that this product supports profiles such as DALI D4i up to 8 addresses, DALI Broadcast, DALI DT6, DALI DT8, DALI Gateway.
The controller has a built-in 100mA power supply and can work with DALI2 luminaires and sensor. In addition, Casambi switches and sensors and dedicated EnOcean switches can be used in the lighting system. Casambi’s tehnology makes it possible to create hybrid networks consisting of both Casambi Ready and DALI or DALI2 devices.
Remember that in the system, the controller is visible as a single control point so paired Casambi sensors affect all luminaires connected to it regardless of group addressing. If you want to control groups of luminaires independently use CBU-1032-70-TRACK.
You’ll access all functions through the dedicated Casambi APP software (downloadable on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store).
| How many control points will it support? | |
|---|---|
| Practical range [m] | In “Best Performance” mode, where network speed is achieved at the expense of ranges between nodes In “Balanced” mode, where speed and range are optimized for networks of up to 100 nodes. |
| How much power does it control? [W] | Depends on the sum of the powers of the connected DALI power supplies |
| Supply voltage [V] | |
| Current [mA] | |
| Maximum DALI line current [mA] | This is the maximum DALI line current described by the standard |
| Guaranteed DALI line current [mA] | This is the maximum current available at the device output for 32 luminaires connected on the same DALI bus |
| Operating frequency [Mhz] | Channels in the range of 2402 to 2480 Mhz |
| Maximum RF transmitter power [dBm] | This is the power measured at the antenna before the housing is mounted, and the ranges depend on many external factors, so use the “practical range” parameter. |
| Operating temperatures [oC] | |
| Maximum humidity [%] | Without water vapor condensation, because at a humidity of e.g. 80%, cooling the air causes the vapor to condense, which is harmful to electrical devices. |
| IP protection class [xy] | IP20 protection means that the device is protected against the ingress of solid objects larger than 12 mm in diameter (e.g. fingers), but does not provide protection against water. This is a basic protection standard, used in devices intended for use in dry rooms, where there is no exposure to dust or moisture. |
| IK protection class [xy] | The operating conditions of the device do not provide for mechanical shocks during installation and normal operation. |
| Overall dimensions L x W x H [mm] | |
| Extra Dimensions [mm] | |
| Housing material | |
| Weight [g] | |
| Connection | Make sure that the adapter and luminaires are compatible with the DALI track system and support DALI control. |
| Color | …any color You like as long as is black 😉 |
